About EJ
As an Executive Coach, I create space for leaders to experiment and explore in ways that unlock profound growth and realization. My coaching approach is rooted in authenticity and a deep respect for each client's unique wisdom.
My journey to coaching began in technology, where I built a multifaceted career as a software engineer and CTO. During my time leading startup teams, I navigated complex challenges including due diligence processes, acquisition negotiations, and implementing comprehensive security programs that achieved multiple ISO certifications. These experiences taught me firsthand about the isolation that can come with leadership roles and the moments when conventional strategies fall short.
Beyond technology, my professional background spans sales, marketing, and finance. I've experienced the entrepreneur's journey, having founded and sold my own company. This diverse experience allows me to connect with clients across industries and understand their challenges from multiple perspectives.
The most transformative moment in my development came during a retreat with the Art of Accomplishment, where I completely reimagined my relationship with my inner voice. This experience, along with continued self discovery work, fundamentally changed how I approach leadership and human connection.
I hold a special passion for working with parents. Our children serve as powerful mirrors, revealing our authentic selves. I find deep fulfillment in helping parents bring greater authenticity to their family relationships, creating positive change that spans generations.
My coaching philosophy centers on one core belief: I won't give you advice or quick fixes. Instead, I create a sacred space where you can show up authentically and vulnerably. My role is to ask the uncomfortable questions, to experiment alongside you, and to help you notice and reflect on what emerges.
As a father to three boys and a husband living outside Minneapolis, I understand the delicate balance of professional ambition and personal fulfillment. Throughout my career, colleagues have consistently sought me out for the "hard conversations" – a testament to the trust I build and the space I hold for others.
I feel genuinely called to coaching work and approach each client relationship with deep care and commitment to exceptional experiences.
